You know it’s been a while since you’ve blogged when you get an email from your blogsite asking if you’re okay! So, now that I’ve survived the crazy holiday season, I need to catch up! First up, one of my all-time favorite sessions. This fun family asked me to tag along for the afternoon during their end-of-summer vacation (what a great idea, right)?!?!? I loved the idea of documenting this time for them and had so much fun chasing after these kiddos! Thank you G family for such a fun day!
A few years ago we were celebrating the Fourth of July in Ladera when I ran into a sorority sister from my Long Beach days, and Ty ran into his best friend’s cousin. As I talked to my friend and Ty talked to his, we suddenly realized that they were there together…and they were married!!! Such a small world. Well, a couple of years and a couple of kids later, I found myself photographing their second beautiful little girl. Welcome to the world Quinn. You definitely won the parent lottery! :)
Since Quinn was born in October, we had to have a little pumkin fun. :)
This year my first day of fall minis took place in Laguna Niguel, and the backdrop was just beautiful! I was able to meet up with five amazing families that day, and we all had a great afternoon together! First up was this gorgeous fam…

It’s such a privilege to help document a family’s special moments through the years, and I especially love when a new baby is added into the mix! Baby Kyle is just perfect. He is one lucky little guy to already have so much love surrounding him. In fact, he has just about the cutest big sister I’ve ever seen, and I’m sure she will keep him entertained as he grows up! Thank you so much to the entire family for having me over! I hope you enjoy your pics. :)
What could be better than having two super fun, loving parents? Adding a little sister to the family of course!!! It’s no secret that I love little Miss Charlotte (how could I not?), and I just can’t wait until I get to see her giving her little sister lots of hugs and kisses! Here are a few pictures from a fun afternoon catching up with this amazing family and capturing such a special time in their lives…
Newborn photos are always special, but taking Aiden’s was extra sweet. Let’s just say that he is nothing short of a miracle baby. On top of that, he is one of the cutest baby boys I have ever seen! I hope his family enjoys these photos for many years to come. Much love to the entire fam!!!
So, you know how on Top Chef if they are behind in creating their dishes, they say they are ‘in the weeds’. Well, when it comes to blogging my sessions I am definitely in the weeds! I have so many fun sessions to share, and first up is this beautiful family celebrating their baby boy’s first birthday. Well, I guess he is not technically a baby anymore (although if Mom reads that she may just cry)! A big thank you to this fam for a great evening in one of my favorites spots!!!
Lately whenever my daughter really likes someone she says she is ‘crushing on them’. Well, I was definitely crushing on this family a few weeks ago when I finally had the chance to meet their new baby girl! She is beautiful, just like her big sis!!! I love watching families grow and expand throughout the years, and having the privilage to document these special moments for them…
Our little girl started Kindergarten today! I have to say that both Dylan and I have been nothing but excited about the new ‘big kids school’. However, when we got there everything seemed SO big all of a sudden. The bell started chiming and huge kids started runnning by with backpacks that were even bigger than they were. I heard a little voice say ‘Mommy, I’m nervous’. Gulp. That made two of us.
Thank goodness the first day parents were aloud to tag along. After about 30 seconds in her classroom, Dylan was feeling right at home. In fact, I could tell that she REALLY loved it! Her favorite activity was the math table. So happy, because let’s just say that coloring isn’t really her thing (notice I didn’t take a picture of her drawing). :) We like already made shapes instead!
Seeing Dylan excited and happy to be at her new school made it seem not so big by the end of the day. Wishing everyone a very happy school year, and please wish us luck with our first drop-off day tomorrow. :)
Back to School Minis were so much fun this year! I offered them to past clients for free as a big THANKYOU for allowing me to capture their most precious moments over the past few years. First up…adorable Ace. I’m thinking he’s going to melt some little girls’ hearts someday (and how cute is he in his little fedora???). :)
