Although I absolutely love soft neutral colors for newborns, when I have a Mom asking for bright colors it instantly makes me happy! Sweet little Lauren was surrounded by bright purple, turquoise and yellow colors throughout this session and I love how the photos turned out! She was such a sweet and beautiful baby, sleeping the entire time even though she was already over two weeks old. Thank you C family for having me over and allowing me to capture this precious time. Here are a few of my favorites…
Lately I’ve been falling more and more in love with photographing weddings. Watching two people begin their lives together surrounded by family and friends simply makes my heart happy. I was a VERY happy girl a couple weeks ago when I was able to second shoot alongside Jamie from Jamie B. Photography. We documented a beautiful day for an equally beautiful couple. Here are some of my favorites…
These gorgeous ladies definitely brightened my day at a time when it was much needed. I loved their laid-back attitude and the fact that they were up for anything. Thanks for making my job easy…and fun! I hope you enjoy your pics. :)
Baby Brandon was already a little over two weeks old by the time I was able to photograph him, so I was crossing my fingers that he would not be too fussy or wake up too easily during our session. Well, modeling must be in his future, because he was amazing…sleeping the entire time and giving us little sweet smiles along the way. So happy to have met this little man and to see the love that surrounds him with his beautiful family. Congratulations again on your handsome and healthy baby boy!
The last time I saw this family was for Payton’s newborn pics! I can’t belive how much she has grown!!! Spring Minis are so much fun for this very reason…a chance to catch up with the families I love and to be able to give them some updated pics. BTW, Kristen also runs an amazing tutoring company in Long Beach…check it out here: https://www.facebook.com/kucinc
I can’t wait to see you all again later this year for your FREE session!!! :)

This past week has been a little rough over here as both my husband and our dog Lucy had to have surgery. Of course, as life would have it, both surgeries had some complications that went along with them. With half my household on bed rest, my work had to be put on hold for a few days. Now as my family is starting to recover, and I am making my way through the emails and messages, I just wanted to say a huge thank to everyone for being so patient with me! Unfortunately, when I am unable to work there is nobody else to pick up the slack. So, I promise to get back on track this week and hope everyone has a happy and HEALTHY week ahead of them. :)
One of the best parts of my job is that it allows me to see college friends from a couple (okay maybe a LITTLE more than a couple) of years ago!
Breanne and I were in the same sorority back in the day…snaps…and I loved how positive and sweet she always was. Fast forward a couple years and a couple of kids later, and she is still that same sweet girl I remember. I’m also kind of obsessed with her daughter. She reminds me of my own little girl. A little shy at first, but then super playful and fun. I hope a play date is in their future as I’m sure they would be fast friends! AND, I haven’t seen her little boy since I took his newborn pics. I can’t believe how much he has grown since then!
So good to see you and your beautiful family again Breanne! Thanks for making my afternoon fun. :)
I first met Karen at a Ladera Ranch Mommy Group get-together, where I I took some photos of her adorable son. Well, fast forward a year and a half and her family has now welcomed a beautiful baby girl into their lives as well! As soon as I saw Kennedy, I was immediately smitten with her hair. I think the fact that my own daughter was a baldy for almost a year always leaves me speechless when I see a newborn with a full head of hair…I love it! I also loved that Karen wanted to use blues, turquoises, and purples for Kennedy’s photo session. So much fun to mix in these colors for girls instead of always using pink! Thank you to the entire family for welcoming me into your home and allowing me to capture this precious time for you. Here are a few of my favorites…
Is it normal to dream about light? Well, I do, and this mini session did actually seem like a dream. The lighting was perfect AND the family couldn’t have been any sweeter. I can’t believe I took baby Presley’s newborn photos last year and now look how big she is getting (love her expression in the last photo)! Thank you so much for being a part of my Spring Mini’s this year! I hope you love your photos as much as I do. :)
