So, I must admit that I never exactly LOVED Halloween in the past. It always reminds me of cold weather (not my favorite) and not to mention that hanging skeletons as decorations and knocking on strangers’ doors for candy always seemed a little wierd to me. However, being able to experience these traditions with Dylan has definitely made me fall in love with this time of year. If you came to our home right now you would see hay bundles outside our front door, smell a spice candle when coming in, and see about 30 foam pumpkin faces along the wall (thank you Michaels for your Halloween decorating kits).
Another tradition that I now LOVE is going to the Pumpkin Patch! We have gone three times already. Dylan has a favorite pony…we’ve named him Freckles…and at this point I think it would have been less expensive to buy a pony than it has been to pay for all the pony rides she has gone on this year. BTW, how do you families with more than one kid afford it? I feel like we spent a small fortune there and we didn’t even get a pumpkin (Trader Joe’s $2.99 pumpkins are where it’s at)!
Happy Fall everyone!!! I’m loving this time of year and hope you are enjoying some fun Halloween activities with your little pumpkins. Here are a few pics of ours…
Oh no! I just found this pic of Dylan and I from her very first Halloween. She was a little pumpkin. It’s crazy how quickly she is growing up. Now I have to go cry. :)
